Rant against the:
Flying Ant DVD (Word World)
WordWorld began airing on PBS in September 2007
WTF!!!!!!
I THOUGHT THEY COULD BE TRUSTED! NOT !!!!!!!
The Pig is a star, a hansome, fantastic chef with it's own cooking show. Except, it's not allowed to eat the food! Cook the food but don't eat the food~that's hard.
(To me that's weird)!
( so that fat pig charactor is encourage/not allowed to eat? What does that teach children? To be anorexic & have eating disorders?)
They did not have a contact us button in order to comment !
People we really need to watch closely the infulences of some of these cartoons.
I mean why not have the Pig eat & cook with herbs & veggies & low fats healthy meals?
The not letting the PIG eat is just offensive & would teach the WRONG message to kids.
OKAY SO THIS WAS LISTED AS A PRIZE IN A GIVEAWAY FROM ANOTHER BLOG!
While I love to win stuff just like everyone esle.......sometimes I run across something like this that just piss's me off!
This cartoon boost how it teaches kids.....my question just what underlying messages are they teaching. The pig is just one many screwed up & twisted charactors. Really? PBS I truly thought we could trust you!

Hmm, I've never noticed that. I'll have to watch it.
Grant it I love South Park & other animations(that are trainwrecks you can't help to look)......but I know what is meant for Adults & which ones are meant for kids.
This one just made me mad because it's a wolf in sheeps clothing.
It is touted as a educational show for small children!
Yet, it encourages racism, eating disorders, makes fun of OCD disorders & more.
THIS IS NOT WHAT CHILDREN SHOULD BE LEARNING.
I full endorse the tired & true:
Dr. Suesse "Sneeches"
Now that is education at it's finest.
It teaches children to have self worth, to love themselves for the way they are & to accept others the way they are!
Simply beautiful story with a wonderful moral lesson.
Sneeches are Sneeches with or without stars.
(We are all human......no matter our age, size, race, color, creed or religion or disabilities!)
Now That's educational!
